Juan Torres is a journalist and co-director of the Amazon Underworld project. He specializes in journalism project management, having led projects recognized by more than 20 journalism and media awards. He has also served as global program manager at the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ), and has worked in newsrooms in Brazil, Spain, and the United States, holding positions in writing, editing, product management, and business strategy. With extensive experience in data journalism, he has trained more than 1,000 professionals and students and has been an MBA professor in the field.
