Júlia de Moraes Almeida is a senior Brazilian lawyer, researcher, and international policy strategist who has led cross-border advocacy campaigns, coordinated public policy efforts with government and civil society, and contributed to institutional reforms on environmental and criminal justice. Over the past decade, she has built a cross-sector career spanning government, academia, and civil society, leading legal and advocacy efforts at both grassroots and global levels. She has advised and collaborated with institutions across Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the United States, including federal ministries, UN-affiliated networks, and international research centers. She is the founder of NDCCult – Center for Law, City, and Culture – and serves as a national coordinator of the Brazilian Network of Decolonial Knowledge. Her work has been cited and recommended by the Brazilian Superior Court of Justice (STJ) and used in institutional training programs. Júlia holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of São Paulo, a Licence en Droit from Université de Lyon, and is currently a PhD candidate at the University of São Paulo Law School.
