Journalist with 19 years of experience covering the Venezuelan Amazon, with a special interest in investigating and understanding the intersection of economy, environment, and human rights. She is co-founder of the Network of Journalists of the Venezuelan Amazon and director of the School of Social Communication at the Andrés Bello Catholic University, Guayana Campus (UCAB Guayana). She has collaborated with international media outlets and worked on cross-border collaborative projects focused on extractivism, socio-environmental conflicts, and crime. She is a Pulitzer Center grantee and a fellow of the Rainforest Investigations Network (RIN) of the same organization. In September 2023, she received the Global Shining Light Award with Joseph Poliszuk for their work "Stealth Corridor"; the award was presented by the Global Investigative Journalism Network (GIJN). He has also participated in projects that have won and been shortlisted for awards from the Inter-American Press Association (IAPA), the Institute for Press and Society (IPYS Venezuela), the Gabo Award, the Online News Association (ONA), the Sigma Awards, and the Latin American Conference on Investigative Journalism (COLPIN).
